Bad omen for Team India associated with Sachin’s centuries continues

Indian Batting Maestro Sachin Tendulkar finally scored his long awaited 100th international century to the collective relief of 1 billion-plus population of India praying for his 100th century for last one year.

The best batsman of the modern era scored his last century (111) against South Africa at Nagpur during the World Cup on March 12 last year (incidentally India lost this match) and since then he had struggled in England and Australia in the last 12 months. After almost reaching doorsteps of 100th century several times, he always missed out and finally he got it albeit against minnows Bangladesh.

As Sachin had scored his century and that too his 100th century , whole of India had started praying that India didn’t lose the match. . Unfortunately, most of the times earlier, when Sachin had scored his century, India had lost the match..Whole of India had started praying that the bad omen for India associated with Sachin’s centuries went wrong. However that wasn’t to be. Finally India has lost to Bangladesh and now it faces the prospect of being eliminated from the tournament without even playing the finals of the tournament.

It seems, bad omen for India associated with Sachin’s centuries still seems to be continuing.

Stastics related to India’s batting in this match seems to be interesting. Sachin played a laborious Inning to get his score of 114 runs in 147 balls. Rest of the team scored 175 runs out of 153 balls.Whole of Team India faced 149 balls without scoring any runs, out of which Sachin faced 82 balls without scoring any runs.

The above statistics, partly explains, why India might have lost this match.

Although, India might have lost the match; however, it mayn’t matter for 1 billion population of India. For we Indians cynical for Sachin’s centuries, would still be happy that Sachin completed his century and that too his 100th century even though India has lost.

Now sachin crazy Indians will demand Bharat ratna for him for his 100th century in the lost cause for Team India.Whole of Sachin crazy Indian media would be singing paeans to Sachin’s 100th century and would join the chorus in demanding Bharat ratna for him.

  1. I also feel the same, look what Australia selectors did to Ponting, though he declared his retirment after India-Australia series, he was not allowed to play the last match due to his bad performance in the series, why can,t we keep the interest of country ahead of individuals.
